The season ahead · 2026/27

A new era at Newcastle under Matthias Jaissle.

Newcastle head into 2026/27 under new head coach Matthias Jaissle. After finishing twelfth last season, the summer was defined by the club-record £125m sale of Alexander Isak to Liverpool, and the rebuild starts at home to that same Liverpool side on the opening weekend.

Home games

Matchday at Newcastle United

Everything for a home game: getting a ticket, the ground itself, getting there and parking, and where to eat and drink around it. For away days, the travel planner is further down.

Tickets

Getting a ticket for a match

St James' Park sells out for most games and league tickets are in high demand, so the official club website is the place to start for anything to do with going to a match. Availability and prices change through the season, so we do not list them here. The panels below point you to the right official routes.

General sale

Match tickets

Home and away tickets are sold through Newcastle United directly. For high-demand games, sales often open to members and season-ticket holders first, so it is worth checking what is on sale and when.

Official tickets
Membership

Membership and ballots

The club runs membership options that open up earlier access to tickets, and for the busiest fixtures places can be allocated by ballot. The benefits and any pricing are set out on the official site.

Membership and tickets
Hospitality

Hospitality and premium

For a premium matchday, the club sells hospitality packages with seating, dining and lounge access. Details and availability are handled through the official ticketing and hospitality pages.

Hospitality options
Ticket exchange

Official resale

When a game is sold out, the club's official ticket exchange lets season-ticket holders resell seats they cannot use. It is the safe place to look for a returned ticket rather than an unofficial reseller.

Ticket exchange

Availability, prices and sale windows change constantly through the season. Always treat the official ticketing pages as the final word, and avoid unofficial resellers.

Matchday travel

Getting there and parking

St James' Park sits right in the middle of the city, which makes public transport by far the easiest way in. Matchday parking nearby is very limited and heavily restricted, so if you do have to drive, an official or pre-booked space away from the ground is the sensible option.

Metro and rail

By Metro and train

The Tyne and Wear Metro serves the ground directly, with St James' station on the doorstep and Monument only a couple of minutes further. Newcastle Central Station, on the national rail network, is around a ten-minute walk away.

Plan your Metro journey
Driving and parking

By car and parking

There is very little parking at the ground itself, and matchday restrictions apply across the surrounding streets. Booking a city-centre car park in advance and walking in is usually the least stressful option, so plan it before you travel.
