TWENTY CLUBSPREMIER LEAGUE
Called It · competition rules

The full rules.

Everything about how Called It works: who can play, how winners are decided, and how the prizes are paid. Free to enter, always.

The short version. Called It is a free-to-enter game of skill. You predict Premier League scorelines, and the closest predictions win real cash. There is never an entry fee and nothing to buy. Because entry is free and winning takes skill, it is a free prize competition, not gambling.

1. Who runs it

Called It is run by Twenty Clubs (the "promoter"), the same team behind this site. You can reach us any time through the contact page. These rules, together with our terms of use and privacy policy, cover how the game works. If anything here ever clashes with the terms of use, these rules win for the game itself.

2. Who can enter

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • You must be a resident of the United Kingdom.
  • One account per person. Duplicate or fake accounts are not allowed and can be removed.
  • People who run Twenty Clubs, and their close family or household, cannot win prizes. They are welcome to play for fun.

You can make predictions without an account, and they save in your browser, but to be in the running for a prize you need to be signed in so we can identify and contact the winner.

3. How to enter

Entry is free and there is no purchase of any kind. Each gameweek, sign in and predict the scorelines for that round of matches before the deadline. Your predictions must be in before the first match of the gameweek kicks off. Predictions made or changed after kick-off do not count for that match.

There is no paid route and no paid route gives any advantage, because there is no paid route at all. Everyone plays the same free game on the same terms.

4. How it is scored

Points are awarded automatically from the real, official results:

  • Exact score correct: 5 points.
  • Right result but wrong score (win, draw or loss): 2 points.
  • Otherwise: 0 points.

Results follow the official Premier League outcome, including any that are changed after the match by the competition authorities. If a match is postponed or abandoned, it does not score until it is played, and it counts in the gameweek in which it is actually completed.

5. How winners are decided

There are two prizes:

  • The weekly winner is whoever has the most points across that gameweek.
  • The season winner is whoever has the most points added up across the whole season.

If there is a tie

If two or more players finish level on points, the prize is shared equally between them. Where a shared amount will not divide into whole pennies, we round each share to the nearest penny in the players' favour.

Winning takes genuine football knowledge and judgement. This is a game of skill, not chance.

6. The prizes

  • £10 to the weekly winner, each gameweek.
  • £150 to the overall season winner.

Prizes are paid in pounds sterling. There is no cash alternative beyond the cash prize itself, prizes cannot be transferred to someone else, and we cannot swap a prize for anything else. We cover the prizes ourselves. They are not funded by players, because there is nothing to pay in.

8. Fair play

Play it straight. No multiple accounts, no impersonating other people, no automated or scripted entries, and no attempt to interfere with the scoring or the site. If we reasonably believe someone has cheated, gamed the system or broken these rules, we can disqualify them and withhold or reclaim a prize. Our decision on the result and the winner is final.

9. Changes and cancellation

We may update these rules, and we may change, pause or end the game or its prizes, for example if we have to for legal, technical or fairness reasons, or if the game cannot be run as planned. If we make a meaningful change we will show it here with a new date. If the game has to be cancelled or a round voided through no fault of the players, no one loses anything they paid, because there is nothing to pay in.

10. Your data

To run the game and pay winners we use your account details and, for a winner, the information needed to make the payment. We handle this as set out in our privacy policy. We may publish a winner's first name and general area (for example "Sam from Leeds") to show the game is real. We will not publish more than that without asking.
