Hull City return to the Premier League for the first time since 2016/17, promoted through the Championship play-offs under Sergej Jakirović after Oliver McBurnie's 95th-minute winner beat Middlesbrough in the final. The club is owned by the Turkish media figure Acun Ilıcalı and has strengthened for the top flight by signing goalkeeper Jack Butland from Rangers. They begin at home to Manchester United.
How Hull won promotion
These numbers are from the 2025/26 Championship season, not the one about to start. Sergej Jakirović took charge in June 2025 and, in his first full season, led Hull to a sixth-placed finish and then through the play-offs, with Oliver McBurnie settling the final against Middlesbrough deep into stoppage time.
It is Hull's third Championship play-off success, after 2008 and 2016, and their first season back in the Premier League since relegation in 2016/17.

Getting into the MKM Stadium
All official tickets go through the club's eTicketing site, with a ticket office at the ground and at the Tiger Leisure store in the St Stephen's Shopping Centre in the city centre. Availability and prices vary through the season and Premier League fixtures can sell quickly, so buy early and only ever through official channels. The details below are how it works rather than a promise of what is on sale on any given day.

The MKM Stadium sits in West Park, roughly a mile from the middle of Hull, so for many supporters it is walkable from the city centre and the main station. Matchday parking around the ground is limited and there are residential restrictions nearby, so official or pre-booked parking, or parking in town and walking across, tends to be the least stressful option.
Hull Paragon Interchange
Hull's combined rail and bus station is in the city centre, about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the stadium through West Park. There is no underground or tram in Hull, so it is the train and the bus network that bring most travelling supporters in.
On the day
Spaces immediately around the ground are limited and streets nearby are covered by matchday and residents' restrictions, which are enforced. Pre-booked or official parking is the safest bet, and many supporters simply park in the city centre and walk out.
By road
The stadium is reached from the A63 and the western approaches into Hull. Roads around West Park get busy close to kick-off, so allowing extra time and following the official travel guidance is worth it on a matchday.
