Chelsea head into 2026/27 as a rebuilding side. Xabi Alonso arrived on 1 July 2026 on a four-year contract after a turbulent campaign that ran through three managers and finished in tenth place. A heavy summer of spending, led by the club-record signing of Morgan Rogers, is meant to push Chelsea back towards the European places.
How 2025/26 finished
Chelsea used three managers across the campaign and settled for a mid-table finish. Enzo Maresca left in January 2026, Liam Rosenior took charge until April, and Calum McFarlane closed the season as interim.
Chelsea also reached the FA Cup final as runners-up and went out of the EFL Cup at the semi-final stage.

Getting a ticket
Everything for a trip to Stamford Bridge runs through the club's official ticketing. The Bridge is one of the smaller grounds in the division and league games are in high demand, so the safest route to a seat is always the official channels below. Prices, availability and on-sale dates change through the season, so use the club site for the current picture.
Buy through the club
Home and away tickets are sold through Chelsea's official ticketing site. Games are often released in stages and can sell out quickly, and availability for each fixture is confirmed and updated there through the season.

Official club membership gives supporters earlier access to general-sale tickets and other benefits ahead of the wider public. For a popular fixture it is usually the most reliable way in short of a season ticket. Details and pricing are on the club site.

When a game is sold out, Chelsea run an official Ticket Exchange so season ticket holders can resell seats they cannot use and other supporters can buy them safely. It is the only resale route we would point you to, and it is reached through the club's ticketing site.

Getting there and parking
Stamford Bridge is on the Fulham Road in south-west London and is easiest to reach by public transport. On a matchday the club advises arriving early, as the roads and stations around the ground get very busy.
Nearest stations
Fulham Broadway on the District line is the closest station, a short walk from the turnstiles. West Brompton on the District line and Overground is also within walking distance, and Imperial Wharf on the Overground is a further option a little to the south.
Limited and restricted
Matchday parking around Stamford Bridge is very limited, and the streets nearby fall under a controlled parking zone with restrictions on and around matchdays. There is no general public car park at the ground, so any pre-booked or official option is the sensible choice, and public transport is usually easier.
