Last season was a hard one at Tottenham. Spurs finished 17th and only made their survival safe late in the campaign, after mid-season upheaval in the dugout. Roberto De Zerbi was appointed head coach on 31 March 2026 on a long-term deal, and this is his first full season in charge. The club has backed him with heavy summer spending, including a club-record signing in Sandro Tonali. It is worth remembering, too, that this same group won the 2024/25 Europa League, the club's first major trophy in 17 years. Spurs open away at Brentford.
