Manchester United tickets and membership

Buying home tickets

You generally need an Official or Premium Membership to buy home tickets; the biggest league games are allocated by a members' ballot, other fixtures are released through member sales, and only lower-demand games are likely to reach a general sale.

Manchester United membership 2026/27

Manchester United's scheme is Official Membership, with a higher Premium Membership tier; membership is required to buy tickets, and membership is what unlocks ticket priority windows before any general sale, so for the popular fixtures it is the realistic way in. Join before the sale window for the game you want, not after it opens.

Buying from overseas

Visiting from the US or elsewhere abroad? The rules are the same: tickets come only from Manchester United's official site and exchange, and membership priority applies wherever you live. Leave plenty of lead time for popular fixtures, avoid unofficial resale sites entirely, and if you cannot get a ticket, every game is televised somewhere worldwide.

How to buy Manchester United away tickets 2026/27

The away allocation at Old Trafford is typically ~3,000, housed in the SE quadrant. Away tickets are prioritised by season ticket holders and away loyalty, with points earned by attending away games and a ballot or priority order favouring the longest-held season tickets and most away attendance; allocations are small and heavily oversubscribed.

Returns and resale

Sold out? Manchester United's Ticket Exchange lets members buy and sell returned tickets for individual games. It is the only safe resale route; tickets bought from touts or unofficial sites can be cancelled at the turnstile. Open the official ticket exchange →

Hospitality

Matchday hospitality and premium seats are booked directly with the club. Our Manchester United hospitality guide covers the lounges, what a package includes and how to book, and the official page has current availability.

Digital tickets

Manchester United tickets are digital: you load them into a mobile wallet or the club app rather than collecting a paper ticket, so take a charged phone to the ground.
